Il costo complessivo dei combustibili, che comprende uranio naturale, conversione, arricchimento, produzione, nonché riserve finanziarie costituite per la futura gestione dei combustibili irradiati, rappresenta attualmente tra il 25 per cento e il 30 per cento del costo di produzione dell’energia nucleare, di cui dal 5 al 10 per cento riguarda le sole materie prime.
